Abstract Art
Careful Compositions

Create a pleasing arrangement of shapes/lines. Colour it in with pencil crayons/paint. It should be bright and colourful.

You must include the following (minimum requirements)
· 10 or more shapes/lines
· 3 or more made up shapes
· 3 or more geometric shapes
· 2 or more types of lines (straight, zig zag, curvy, jagged, thick, thin, short, long, dotted, thick to thin, etc.)
- 3 or more textures
· The background must be coloured in. Colouring must be neat.
· No recognizable shapes (i.e. no cats, dogs, apples, etc.)
· You should use a variety of sizes of shapes, and shapes may extend past the edges of the page.


Wassily Kandinsky, : In 1910, Kandinsky started to popularize the "Non Objective" Abstract Art style. Russian, in full VASILY VASILYEVICH KANDINSKY (b. Dec. 4 [Dec. 16, New Style], 1866, Moscow, Russia--d. Dec. 13, 1944, Neuilly-sur-Seine, Fr.), Russian-born artist, one of the first creators of pure abstraction in modern painting.
